Improvisation as a simultaneous process of searching and discovering.
Accidents as vibrant expressions of the moment.
Every day objects fulfill and, at the same time, transcend their original function. This loss of purpose is the underlying motif of the "Manipulated Guitar". I use items made of metal, wood,
plastic etc. to generate sounds.
In addition to the built-in pickups, further microphones, that can be individually controlled are attached to the guitar.
By using a reverb unit and two loudspeakers a stereophonic field emerges.
This allows sound to unfold within a spectrum of proximity and distance.
